Problem Statement
Yatra.com made waves with iconic campaigns featuring stars like Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, cementing its place as a trusted travel brand. However, as the market grew crowded with agile, tech-savvy competitors offering fresh experiences, Yatra.com struggled to keep pace, losing its loyal audience to platforms better aligned with evolving consumer preferences.
Creative Process
The travel industry faces a significant challenge: consumers lack brand loyalty and are constantly drawn to various sources offering both inspiration and irresistible deals. Without relying on celebrity endorsements, we needed a fresh approach. Our solution? A multi-pronged strategy: a bold topical spike campaign to instantly grab attention and spark interest, combined with efforts to build a strong, engaged community around Yatra.com for lasting impact.
The Campaign
Bindaas Plan Kar: A campaign in partnership with the Women’s Delhi Capitals, positioning Yatra.com in a unique space—Zero Cancellation Charges. This campaign featured a series of digital commercials starring cricketers from the Women’s Premier League Delhi Capitals, showcasing how Yatra.com makes planning worry-free. Through these films, we blended the thrill of cricket with the ease of stress-free travel planning.
Building a Community
We kicked off Issued in Yatrigans’ Interest during Republic Day as part of a year-long influencer campaign. The idea was simple: get travelers to share their journey visuals through UGC, creating a free database of awesome content. And the best part? It cost us nothing! We turned Yatra.com into the perfect bragging platform for travelers, sparking more shares, more engagement, and building a tight-knit community along the way.
